Summary
Princess Verbina and Prince Astor of the Lebidoptirans are on a quest to find their star navy to save their home world Chrystalis. But they are forced to crash land on Aku’s Earth and are immediately captured by his minions. Luckily Samurai Jack is witness to the events and follows them.
Our Take
A pleasant if disposable adventure hour, light on stakes but easy to like. The royal siblings are thin characters, though their telepathy gimmick gives Jack a fun tactical wrinkle in the fight scenes. The escape sequence moves well and the pacing never sags. It’s the kind of episode you enjoy in the moment and forget by the weekend, but that’s fine for a mid-season breather.
