Summary
Samurai Jack gets an offer to join a Thirties style gang of mobsters at the Blue Monkey club and decides to take them up on it so he can get close to Aku. The gang plans to steal something Aku has been unable to obtain: the legendary Neptune Jewel, guarded by Earth, Wind and Fire.
Our Take
This one plays like a noir riff that never fully commits, with Jack going undercover among gangster stereotypes that get old fast. The Earth, Wind and Fire guardians bring some visual flair, but the middle stretch drags and the jokes land about half the time. Fine as a light detour, just don’t expect the season’s sharper hours.
