Episode Summary & Review
Summary
The year is 2030 and the world is in chaos, but at least Jim is broadcasting his favorite sport and has the love of his daughter. He then learns baseball is worse off than he thought and his daughter is moving to New York for college.
Our Take
The time jump to 2030 mostly works, giving the show a fresh sandbox for Jim’s particular brand of self-loathing amid societal collapse. The father-daughter material lands better than the dystopian baseball jokes, which occasionally strain too hard for satire. A solid, if slightly wobbly, start to the final season.
