Summary
Now calling minor league games in New Orleans, Jim is up for the major leagues in Atlanta. He competes against Raj, a likable young announcer. Charles works on the podcast despite Brockmire’s antics. A friend from Morristown stops by for a visit.
Our Take
The New Orleans setting should freshen things up, but the premiere mostly spins its wheels. Hank Azaria is reliably funny, yet the rivalry with Raj feels underwritten and the Morristown visitor subplot lands flat. A few good one-liners keep it watchable, though it’s a shaky start to the season.
