Our Take
The series finale plays things surprisingly safe for a show that built its name on Kenny Powers blowing up his own life in spectacular fashion. There are still laughs, mostly from Stevie’s doomed dignity, but the sentimental Christmas wrap-up feels like a different, tamer show. Fine if you’ve come this far, just don’t expect the chaotic payoff the earlier seasons promised.
