Summary
Duckman takes the family and the staff on a holiday to a real Indian reservation, with a casino. While there, a psychiatrist notices Duckman and the rest of the family’s overall self destructive behavior. She offers them treatment that involves a roleplaying session that uncovers some of their real issues.
Our Take
A talky, therapy-focused episode that leans on Duckman’s characters actually being broken people, which mostly works because the cast sells their dysfunction so well. The roleplaying conceit drags in spots and the casino setting is underused, but the darker character beats land. Worth it for fans who like when the show gets uncomfortable about its own family.
