Episode Summary & Review
Summary
(Willabald Feivel) Cornfed finds out from his father via a documentary cowritten with Ken Burns, that he has a genetic disease that gives him a choice, either lose his virginity, or die in 24 hours. Duckman tries to help him out, but Bernice saves the day and Cornfed pledges his undying love. He becomes dejected when she rejects him and tries to commit suicide.
Our Take
A weirdly sweet episode that leans harder on Cornfed than usual, and Greg Berger earns it. The premise is ridiculous in the best Duckman way, and the gags mostly land even when the pacing sags in the middle act. The romantic turn with Bernice gives the show an actual emotional core for once. Worth watching for fans, though newcomers might find the tonal swings jarring.
