Our Take
A middling hour that leans hard on the quirky magician setting without giving the mystery much bite. The Dwight Dixon thread finally moves forward, and Chuck’s push to get Lily talking gives the episode its real emotional weight. The half brothers subplot mostly coasts on oddball charm. Fine enough if you’re already invested in the season’s slow-building secrets, but it won’t convert anyone.
