Summary
The Pie Maker and his friends solve a mystery in the most unlikeliest of places: the circus.
Our Take
The circus setting promises more whimsy than the episode actually delivers, and the mystery itself feels like filler. There are a few charming moments between Ned and Chuck, and the production design is as colorful as ever, but the case lacks the emotional hook of the show’s best hours. Fine as background viewing, though not an episode anyone needs to rush back to.
