Summary
Mr. Pugh plans a field trip for the Toledo chapter of the Ohio Naturalists; when Jack can’t write his own book, he agrees to be ghostwrite for popular author Robin Shwank — only to insert his own chapters into Shwank’s book.
Our Take
Jack’s ghostwriting scheme gives Glenn Howerton plenty of room to do his smug, seething thing, and the Robin Shwank scenes land some solid laughs. The field trip subplot is thinner and mostly coasts on the kids’ one-liners. A funny if uneven half hour that’s easy to sit through but won’t stick with you.
