Summary
Ethan ventures outside of Wayward Pines and is shocked by what he discovers. Meanwhile, Theresa reports to her new realty job and meets her first client who is as confused as Theresa about the eerie town and Ben goes through orientation and learns the truth about Wayward Pines from his teacher Megan Fisher.
Our Take
The big reveal finally lands, and it’s a decent payoff after four episodes of teasing, even if the teacher’s exposition dump feels clunky and rushed. The scenes outside town have real tension to them. Ben’s storyline drags by comparison. It’s a mid-season pivot episode that mostly works, worth watching if you’ve made it this far, though the show still leans too hard on withholding information.
