Episode Summary & Review
Summary
After surviving a terrible car crash, Secret Service Agent Ethan Burke finds himself in the charming, bucolic town of Wayward Pines but soon discovers that something isn’t quite right.
Our Take
A decent setup episode that leans hard on creepy-small-town atmosphere, and it mostly works thanks to Matt Dillon’s frazzled lead performance. The mystery hooks are effective even if some feel borrowed from Twin Peaks and The Prisoner. Slow in spots, but it earns a second episode.
