Summary
Driven by her faith in Alicent, Rhaenyra positions herself to take King’s Landing while the Triarchy sails to take on Corlys in the Gullet.
Our Take
A confident, patient opener that spends most of its hour on positioning rather than payoff, and it mostly works because the character beats feel earned. The naval buildup with Corlys gives the episode some genuine tension, though a couple of the council scenes run longer than they need to. Worth your time if you’re back on board, just don’t expect fireworks yet.
