Summary
As Otto schemes to turn the public against her, Rhaenyra questions Daemon’s loyalty. Meanwhile, Ser Criston Cole concocts a misguided plan for revenge.
Our Take
A slow-burn hour that mostly works because of the political maneuvering rather than any action. Rhys Ifans is having a blast as Otto, and the small council scenes crackle in a way the Dragonstone material doesn’t. The revenge plot lands with real consequences, though Daemon’s side quest feels like padding. Worth your time if you’re here for the chess game, less so if you want dragons.
