Summary
Alliances are made, the High Sparrow is holding trials at King’s Landing, Daenerys is sailing for the Seven Kingdoms and a new King of the North is crowned.
Our Take
A slow, eerie opening stretch pays off with one of the show’s most shocking sequences, and the hour barely slows down after that. The King in the North scene feels a bit rushed given what it means, but the finale mostly lands its big moments with confidence. Worth the wait, even if the season took its time getting here.
