Summary
A massive battle rages for control of King’s Landing and the Iron Throne.
Our Take
The show finally spends its whole budget in one place and it pays off. The battle feels chaotic and claustrophobic instead of empty spectacle, and Tyrion carrying the defense while being ignored by everyone is the best arc of the season. The Hound’s breakdown is a highlight too. Slow in patches before the fighting starts, but the wildfire payoff alone makes it worth your time.
