Summary
At a restaurant to celebrate his birthday, Gary thinks his teenage waiter could be the new chosen one. Nobody buys it, but Gary is determined to prove this kid is his replacement so he can finally retire.
Our Take
A middling birthday episode that leans on the same tired joke for twenty minutes: Gary insists a random teen waiter is the chosen one, everyone else shrugs. There are a couple of decent gags about his desperation to quit, but the premise wears thin fast and the ending feels like a shrug. Watchable if you’re already attached to Gary, otherwise skippable.
