Summary
Gary and Leslie head to Japan for the annual gathering of the world’s demon hunters, but Gary is in for the surprise of his life when he realizes all his old cohorts have retired – replaced by bright eyed and bushy tailed teenagers.
Our Take
A fun mid-season road trip that mines a lot of awkward comedy out of Gary being the last man standing among a new generation of perky demon hunters. The Japan setting gives the episode some visual variety, and the teen hunters are a good foil for his exhausted energy. It’s a lighter hour without much plot momentum, but the gags land well enough to be worth a watch.
