A genuinely creepy season finale that trades the show’s usual silliness for slow-building dread, and it works. The Lich makes for Adventure Time’s scariest villain yet, and the ending pulls off one of the boldest left turns the series ever attempted. Worth your time even if the cliffhanger will leave you scrambling for the next season.
