Summary

Saul suggests a new business partner for Walt and Jesse after they begin to lose their dealers to some unforeseen circumstances. At work, Skyler confronts Ted after she uncovers some unnerving information; and Jesse opens up to Jane about what he does for a living, with disastrous results.

Our Take

Gus Fring arrives. Walt, desperate for a distribution upgrade, is courted through Saul to a chicken farm — and meets the fastidious owner of Los Pollos Hermanos, who refuses to deal with addicts and offers Walt three million for three months of exclusive work. The scene between Cranston and Giancarlo Esposito is the season’s chess match in miniature: two careful men, each pretending to be simpler than they are. Meanwhile, Combo is shot dead on a rival’s corner, and Jesse falls deeper into Jane’s world.
