Summary
Part 1 of 2. Korra tries to be impartial as tension rises between the northern and southern tribes.
Our Take
This one splits its attention between Korra’s family drama and the brewing tribal conflict, and the family stuff lands better. Tenzin’s subplot with his siblings adds some welcome comedy, though it feels like it belongs in a different episode. The political tension is set up well enough that you’ll want part 2, but on its own this is mostly table-setting. Fine, just not memorable.
