New Life and New Civilizations

Episode Summary & Review

Summary

When an ancient, evil alien force reemerges, Pike must make one of the hardest decisions of his life to stop the evil from spreading.

Our Take

This finale stuffs in a lot of mythology and spectacle, and some of the character moments land, especially for Pike, who gets a genuinely tough call to sit with. But the pacing rushes past ideas that deserved room, and the cliffhanger gambit will frustrate anyone expecting closure. Worth it for fans, though it plays more like a setup than a payoff.
