Summary
When La’An tests a prototype holodeck with a fictional case only she can solve, the consequences of failure get greater and greater, with the Enterprise hanging in the balance.
Our Take
This one wants to be a fun throwback holodeck romp, but it keeps undercutting its own playfulness by raising the stakes until the whole ship is at risk. Christina Chong does solid work carrying the hour, and there are a few genuinely clever sequences, yet the mystery at the center is thinner than it thinks. Fine background viewing, just don’t expect it to stick with you.
