Lost in Translation

Episode Summary & Review

Summary

Uhura seems to be the only one who can hear a strange sound. When the noise triggers terrifying hallucinations, she enlists an unlikely assistant to help her track down the source.

Our Take

A solid Uhura-focused hour that finally gives Celia Rose Gooding room to carry an episode, and she handles it well. The mystery unfolds at a decent clip, though the hallucination beats get repetitive and the resolution leans on familiar Trek alien-of-the-week logic. The Pelia team-up adds some welcome dry humor. Worth watching, even if it won’t stick with you long after.
