Summary
Captain Burnham and the U.S.S. Discovery race to stop Book and Ruon Tarka from launching a rogue plan that could inadvertently endanger the galaxy.
Our Take
This one’s a chase episode that never quite catches fire. The moral standoff between Burnham and Book has real weight, and Tarka’s desperation gives Shawn Ashmore something to chew on, but the pacing stalls in long stretches of people arguing in rooms. Some nice character beats and a decent cliffhanger make it watchable, though you’ll feel the filler along the way.
