Summary
The U.S.S. Discovery is tasked with a high priority mission to planet Pahvo and learn the science behind the Klingons’ cloaking technology.
Our Take
A quieter, more thoughtful hour that splits its time between the away team on a strange planet and Stamets dealing with the fallout of the spore drive. Saru gets the standout material here, and it’s genuinely interesting to see his fear-driven biology turned against him. The Klingon scenes drag, but the Pahvo stuff looks gorgeous and lands emotionally. Solid if not spectacular.
