Episode Summary & Review
Summary
Face to face with Klingon vessels, the U.S.S. Shenzhou prepares for the possibility of war if negotiations fail. Amidst the turmoil, Burnham looks back to her Vulcan upbringing for guidance.
Our Take
This is a grim, combat-heavy hour that doubles down on the season’s serious tone, and it mostly works. The space battles look expensive and the Klingon political maneuvering gives the villains some weight, though the subtitles and slow pacing can drag. Burnham’s big decision lands emotionally even if the Vulcan flashback feels a bit rushed. Worth watching if the premiere hooked you.
