Episode Summary & Review

Summary

Michael accidentally reveals that Stanley is having an affair so he makes up a bunch of other rumors to divert people’s attention.

Our Take

A strong season opener that leans on Michael’s worst impulses for big laughs. The escalating fake rumors get sillier in the best way, and the cold open with the trampoline gag sets the tone perfectly. It runs out of steam a bit in the back half once the joke has nowhere left to go, but the cast’s reactions alone make it worth a watch.
