Summary
Michael sets out to survivor in the wilderness after Ryan doesn’t invite him on a retreat; Jim is put in charge of the office while Michael is going and he attempts to change the birthday party policy.
Our Take
A pretty standard middle-of-the-road episode carried by two reliable setups: Michael being alone and ridiculous in the woods, and Jim learning that managing this office is basically impossible. The birthday party storyline has some good payoff moments, but the wilderness stuff runs out of jokes faster than it should. Fine to watch, just don’t expect a classic.
