Summary
Michael gets dumped by Carol; Karen and Pam start a rival party planning committee.
Our Take
A messy, funny hour that leans into Michael’s heartbreak without getting too gloomy about it. The dueling Christmas party storyline gives Pam and Karen some good material, and Andy’s relentless need to impress Michael lands more often than it misses. The Benihana bits run a little long and the fake-out with the waitresses feels a bit cruel even for this show. Still, one of the stronger holiday episodes they did.
