Summary
Michael gets dumped by Carol; Pam and Karen start a rival party planning committee.
Our Take
A strong holiday half-hour that splits its energy nicely between Michael’s post-breakup spiral and the party committee cold war. The Pam and Karen tension gives the office stuff real bite, and Michael’s misery is funny without getting too painful to watch. It mostly sets the table for part two, but the jokes land often enough that it never feels like filler.
