Episode Summary & Review
Summary
They’re back, baby! The Smiths deal with last season’s fallout, and Rick and Morty are stranded in space floating in the remnants of the citadel.
Our Take
A solid premiere that wipes the slate clean after season five’s messy ending, mostly by blowing up the status quo again. The back-to-basics reset gimmick lands some great jokes, and Rick’s origin finally getting acknowledged feels earned. It’s a funny, promising restart even if the emotional beats are more setup than payoff.
