Episode Summary & Review
Summary
Rick and Morty land on a planet where all the citizens are allowed to commit crimes — including murder — without punishment for one night.
Our Take
A dark, mean-spirited episode that leans hard into its Purge parody, and mostly gets away with it thanks to Morty’s slow unravel into violence. The subplot with Rick and the store owner drags a bit, but the ending gag is one of the season’s best punchlines. Worth watching for the sheer awkwardness alone.
