Rick becomes emotional; Beth and Jerry are hard on each other.
Our Take
A surprisingly heavy episode that lets Rick actually feel things, and the show earns it. The Unity storyline walks a fine line between comedy and genuine loneliness, and the ending lands harder than most sitcoms ever attempt. The Beth and Jerry subplot is thinner but keeps things from getting too bleak. Worth your time, even if it’s more sad than funny.
