Risk E. Rat’s Pizza and Amusement Center

Episode Summary & Review

Summary

The Gang goes to “Risk E. Rat’s”, their childhood version of Chuck E. Cheese, only to find all the riskiness that made it exciting has been systematically replaced with safety and overcautiousness. Dennis and Charlie try to find the old ride with the animatronic boobs. Dee takes Frank on a scavenger to find risqué jokes hidden throughout the establishment. Mac plays Skee-Ball to win tickets for a prize.

Our Take

This one coasts on a solid premise that never fully pays off. The safety-scarred pizza parlor stuff lands some decent jabs, and Frank and Dee’s scavenger hunt has the best energy, but Dennis and Charlie hunting that ride feels like a rerun of better obsessions from earlier seasons. It’s watchable and occasionally funny, just thinner than you’d hope this late in the season.
