Our Review
A road rage incident that curdles into a war of mutually assured destruction, and the best 10 episodes of television Netflix has released this decade. Steven Yeun and Ali Wong play two strangers whose parking lot meltdown becomes the axis both their lives spin around, and the show’s thesis is uncomfortably true: rage is just grief with somewhere to put itself.
Yeun’s Danny Cho is a failing contractor crushed under the weight of immigrant family expectation; Wong’s Amy Lau is a successful businesswoman who has everything and feels nothing. Their feud escalates with shocking discipline, nobody ever does the sane thing, and you understand every insane choice. The middle stretch goes full Coen brothers-caper (the chicken sequence, the delivered package), and the finale is a quiet gut punch that people are still arguing about.
Verdict: Watch it immediately. It’s a locked room tragedy about the American dream, and it’s frequently very funny while it breaks your heart.
