Our Take

A solid season opener that leans on Charlie’s courtroom nonsense for its biggest laughs, even if the legal stuff makes zero sense in the best way. Dennis and Mac scheming as landlords hits some cruel highs, while Dee’s surrogate plotline feels undercooked and mostly spins its wheels. Not a classic, but the mean energy is back and it’s a fun enough way to kick things off.
