Summary
Charlie puts on a rock opera based on his song “Nightman,” and he gets the rest of the gang to help him.
Our Take
This is the closest the show gets to a full musical episode, and Charlie’s weirdo opera actually holds together better than it should. The songs are dumb in the best way, and the gang’s reluctant performances land most of the time. The ending drags a bit once the joke wears thin, but it’s still one of the season’s most memorable half hours.
