Episode Summary & Review
Summary
The gang agrees to sell Paddy’s after getting an offer that’s too good to turn down. Problem is, Dee and Charlie, who aren’t partners, must get real jobs. Members of Frank’s “gang,” the Yellow Jacket Boys, are played by members of the doo wop group The Mighty Echoes, who perform.
Our Take
A middling episode saved by its second half, once Dee and Charlie are forced into actual employment and the show’s meanest instincts kick in. The bar sale plot stalls in places, but Frank’s doo wop crew is a fun weird touch, and the gang’s pettiness over the money lands some solid laughs. Worth a watch, just not one you’ll revisit much.
