Summary
Sixteen year-old Nathan Bryne tries his best to fit in at school and at home, but his father`s deadly legacy casts a long shadow.
Our Take
A strong opener that spends most of its hour on atmosphere and Nathan’s uneasy home life rather than big supernatural reveals. Jay Lycurgo carries the whole thing easily, making teenage frustration feel real instead of moody-by-numbers. The worldbuilding is drip-fed and occasionally confusing, but the grim tone lands. Worth starting if you want a darker, slower burn than typical teen fantasy.
