Summary
Richmond adjust to an exciting change, but Jamie has reservations. Ted learns there’s something new going on back in Kansas as well.
Our Take
This one’s a mixed bag. Jamie’s resistance to the new arrival gives the episode its best material, and Roy’s deadpan frustration lands a few solid laughs. The Kansas subplot with Ted’s mom feels like a retread of things the show has already done better. It coasts on charm more than it earns its emotional beats, but it’s pleasant enough. Fine, just not memorable.
