Summary

Maddie and Mist try to find and rescue Caspian, who is held hostage until he promises to cure his captor; Ellen and Waxman learn of a plan to destroy humanity from the unlikeliest place.

Our Take

A mostly connective episode that moves pieces around without much payoff. The hostage storyline gives Caspian some decent material, but the pacing drags in the middle stretch and the season’s big threat gets introduced through exposition rather than anything you feel. Fine if you’re invested in the larger arc, just don’t expect the show’s usual energy here.
