The Empire Strikes Back of the series: Stage 2’s horror (the E Corp building collapse. 71 buildings, 4,000 dead), Elliot vs. Mr. Robot’s war for the body, Whiterose’s project teased, and the shutdown/r Ubuntu… the… the…, the FBI takedown, the Mr. Robot/Darlene road trips, and the finale’s Time… the 407 proxy…, the season runs at thriller speed with the show’s most coherent plot, and the ending (Elliot shot by… no, by Tyrell? by the Dark Army’s boy?) lands the darkest cliffhanger.
