Episode Summary & Review
Summary
Megatron creates a Transmetal II clone of Dinobot, and Cheetor and Depth Charge attempt to interrupt the process; instead, Cheetor is presumed dead after he is exposed to the machine in an explosion. The Predacons soon come under attack from a mysterious feral beast, as a heavily damaged Cheetor returns to Maximal base.
Our Take
A solid setup episode that leans hard on Cheetor’s transformation arc, and the feral rampage stuff genuinely works because the show sells his confusion and anger rather than just adding new powers. The Dinobot clone material is a bit muddled though, and Depth Charge remains more attitude than character. Worth watching for the ending alone, which lands an unexpected gut punch.
