Episode Summary & Review
Summary
Optimus and Cheetor attempt to recover an Energon stash, but are damaged when it is destroyed by Inferno. Meanwhile, Silverbolt follows Blackarachnia to a mountain that Megatron has been interested in, and Megatron wins the loyalty of Ravage by showing him a message left by the original Megatron.
Our Take
This is the middle chapter that mostly exists to set up the finale, and it shows. The energon mission with Optimus and Cheetor feels like filler compared to the good stuff with Silverbolt, Blackarachnia, and Megatron’s big reveal to Ravage. The G1 nostalgia lands hard if you know the history, and the ending cliffhanger is a genuine gut punch. Worth it for the last five minutes alone.
