Episode Summary & Review
Summary
A faulty Transformer named Transmutate is created from a damaged stasis pod. Silverbolt and Rampage compete for its trust, but Transmutate is killed by its own power while attempting to break up the fight between Silverbolt and Rampage.
Our Take
A surprisingly heavy episode for a toy-driven cartoon, and it mostly earns its tragic ending. Transmutate’s design and voice sell the idea of a broken, childlike being that nobody knows how to handle, and Rampage’s odd sympathy for it is the most interesting thing here. The pacing sags in the middle, but the final minutes land hard. Worth your time.
