Summary
Rhinox and Cheetor must defend a crashed stasis pod from the Predacons. They are successful and Airazor is born. The concept of sparks is introduced in this episode, it is a concept that is used in Transformer lore that is still used today.
Our Take
A quiet, worldbuilding-heavy half hour that matters more for what it introduces than what happens. The spark concept gives the show real mythology to build on, and Airazor’s debut is handled with surprising care for a mid-season episode. The action is fairly routine until then, so it drags a bit in the middle, but fans of the lore will find it worth the watch.
