Episode Summary & Review
Summary
Wirt, Greg, and Beatrice get all mixed up in the musical antics of a schoolhouse of animals, a lovelorn teacher, a grouchy old benefactor, and an escaped gorilla.
Our Take
This is the show’s most musical hour, and it leans hard into that gimmick, sometimes to its detriment. The animal schoolhouse is charming and the songs are genuinely catchy, but the plot feels thinner than the previous chapters and the gorilla bit runs out of steam. Still worth it for the teacher’s sweet little romance and the gorgeous autumn scenery throughout.
