Devourer of Light

Episode Summary & Review

Summary

With the Abbot poised to make an unthinkable sacrifice and Erzsebet’s plans already in motion, Richter and his allies hurl themselves into battle.

Our Take

The season finale delivers the big fight you came for, and the animation during Erzsebet’s power display is genuinely impressive. The problem is pacing: too much time gets spent on characters standing around explaining their feelings before the action kicks in. Worth watching for the spectacle alone, just don’t expect the story threads to resolve cleanly.
