Our Take

This is basically a holding pattern before the finale, and it feels like it. Steven possessing a watermelon to send a distress message is a fun idea on paper, but the execution drags, with a lot of walking and not much payoff. The melancholy tone works in spots, but most viewers can skip ahead without missing much.
